Test SS - System Check

  1. ISC Check. Attempt to start engine at part throttle. If engine runs only at part throttle, go to TEST Z - BY-PASS AIR , step 3). If engine does not run, go to step 3).
  2. EGR Check. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose at EGR valve. Ensure that EGR valve is closed. Attempt to start vehicle.
    • If vehicle runs, go to TEST W - EGR ON/OFF CHECK , step 1) for all 1.9L EFI and 2.3L EFI/Turbo models.
    • If vehicle does not run, go to TEST Q - FUEL CONTROL, step 1) for all 1.9L EFI & 2.3L EFI/Turbo models.
