No. 1 Purge Control Valve

  1. Connect test vacuum hoses. See Fig 1 . Apply vacuum to No. 1 purge control valve and ensure that air does not flow through the valve while blowing into port "A".
  2. With 4.3 in Hg. of vacuum applied ensure vacuum is held and air flows through the valve while blowing into port "A". Replace No. 1 purge control valve carbon canister assembly if necessary.
