Stator Open

  1. Separate stator from rectifier. Adjust ohmmeter to lowest scale. Place one lead to a stator terminal. Place remaining lead on another stator terminal. Note meter reading. Ohmmeter reading should be obtained.
  2. Stator winding is open if reading is not obtained. Replace stator coil if open is found. Repeat test procedure on remaining stator terminals.
