Power Window Motor

  1. Disconnect the motor lead.
  2. Disconnect the regulator mechanism from the motor.
  3. Supply power to motor lead connector with an ammeter in series.
  4. Operate the motor and observe the current draw. The current draw for the no-load test should not exceed four amps and should not fluctuate. Reversal of the motor wire connections will reverse the direction of motor rotation. See Fig 1 . Replace the motor if the current draw exceeds four amps.
