Oil Pressure Sending Unit Test

  1. Unplug oil pressure sending unit connector. On 2.0L, sending unit is located at right rear of engine; on 2.5L, it is located at lower right front of engine.
  2. Start engine. Measure resistance between sending unit terminal and ground. Resistance should be approximately 20 ohms at idle.
  3. If resistance is as specified, return to appropriate PINPOINT TEST. Replace sending unit if resistance is not as specified.
