Oil Pressure Sending Unit Test

  1. Unplug oil pressure sending unit connector. On 2.0L, sending unit is located at right rear of engine. On 2.5L, sending unit is located at lower right front of engine.
  2. Start engine. Test for continuity between sending unit terminal and ground. With engine not running, resistance should be less than 5 ohms. With engine running, resistance should be greater than 10,000 ohms. 3) If resistance is as specified, return to appropriate PINPOINT TEST. Replace sending unit if resistance is not as specified.
