NOTE: On diesel engines, a mechanical compression testing procedure is not available from manufacturer.

To diagnose possible cylinder compression loss, perform CRANKCASE PRESSURE TEST under ENGINE PERFORMANCE DIAGNOSIS in appropriate SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTS - DIESEL article and/or KOER CYLINDER CONTRIBUTION SELF-TEST under QUICK TEST in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DIESEL article.
