Courtesy Light Inoperative Using Transmitter

  1. Disconnect remote control door lock receiver. Remove CTSY fuse 3 (20-amp) from IP fuse block. Disconnect front dome and reading light connector. Connect self-powered test light between front dome and reading light connector terminal "A" (White wire) and remote control door lock receiver connector terminal "S" (White wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in White wire between remote control door lock receiver and splice S246.
  2. Disconnect headlight and panel dimmer switch Black, 16-pin Connector C298. Connect self-powered test light between headlight and panel dimmer switch connector terminal "M" (White wire) and remote control door lock receiver connector terminal "S" (White wire). Check for continuity. If test light illuminates, replace remote control door lock receiver. If test light does not illuminate, repair open in Gray wire between headlight and panel dimmer switch and remote control door lock receiver.
