CONDITION
Two different styles of Heated Oxygen Sensors are used in the 2000 model year truck production, Fig 1 .
HEATED OXYGEN SENSORS IDENTIFICATION
- Vehicles built at the Ft. Wayne (VIN Plant code Z) and Pontiac East (VIN Plant code E) assembly plants will use the Delphi Heated Oxygen Sensors, Fig 2 .
- Vehicles Built at the Oshawa assembly plant (RPO OSG, VIN Plant code 1) will use the Denso Heated Oxygen Sensor, Fig 2 , (4).
NOTE:
Heated Oxygen Sensors cannot be used on any vehicle application other than what they were originally released for.
NOTE:
Different electrical connectors and connector colors, and different keys (3, 5), on similar electrical connectors, prevent the use of any Heated Oxygen Sensor other than the one released for that vehicle. See Fig 2
.
Heated Oxygen Sensors can be identified as in the illustration in Fig 2 .
