Installation Procedure

  1. Clean the sealing surfaces of the EBCM and the BPMV with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.

    Install the EBCM (1) to the BPMV.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the EBCM bolts (1) and tighten in a cross pattern to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  4. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  5. Install the transfer case skid shield, if equipped. Transfer Case Skid Shield Replacement (NY7) , or Transfer Case Skid Shield Replacement (Bison)
  6. Program the EBCM. Control Module References
