Repair Procedures: Removal
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the luggage side trim.
(Refer to Body - "LUGGAGE SIDE TRIM ")
- Remove the rear pillar trim.
(Refer to Body - "REAR PILLAR TRIM ")
- Disconnect the power PTG drive unit connector.
- Using a screwdriver, lift up slightly the socket clips.CAUTION: Take care not to be closed the tail gate, when removing the lift.NOTE:
- Be careful not to remove socket clip completely as the socket clip may be damaged.
- Loosen the mounting bolts, remove the PTG drive unit assembly.CAUTION:
- Removing or installing the hood requires an assistant.
- When removing the PTG spindle, be careful not to close the tailgate.
