Vacuum Advance (Spectrum)

Alternately remove hose from distributor vacuum unit connectors (2). Using vacuum pump, apply 15-17 in. Hg vacuum while observing advance plate assembly. Advance plate assembly should operate with a smooth movement and vacuum should not bleed off. If vacuum bleeds off, replace vacuum unit. If advance plate assembly is not as specified, it should be serviced or replaced.
