Engine start signal, sent from starter circuit, is used by ECM to determine whether engine is cranking or not. Based on this determination, ECM calculates fuel injection timing, ISC solenoid valve operation, throttle opener and Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) operation (Tracker A/T).
