Testing Hazard Warning Switch

  1. Ensure hazard fuse and turn signal relay are good. Push switch to ON position. Using test light, ensure voltage is at headlight switch harness connector terminal No. 3 (White/Green wire) and terminal No. 9 (Yellow/Red wire). Headlight switch harness connector No. C-5 has 16 terminals and is plugged into bottom of junction/fuse block located under left dash panel.
  2. If voltage does not exist at terminal No. 3 (White/Green wire), repair White/Green wiring circuit of junction/fuse block. If voltage does not exist at terminal No. 9 (Yellow/Red wire), replace hazard/headlight switch assembly.
