Ignition Coil Resistance

  1. Remove distributor cap, rotor and dust cover. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between primary terminals of coil. See Figure and Fig 1 .
  2. Check secondary resistance between coil secondary terminal and primary positive terminal. Replace coil if readings are not within specifications. See IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE table.
