Jacking & Hoisting: Notes
NOTE:
Prior to performing wheel alignment, perform preliminary visual and mechanical inspection of wheels, tires and suspension components. See PRE-ALIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS in WHEEL ALIGNMENT THEORY & OPERATION article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section.
CAUTION:
When jacking or lifting vehicle at side rails or any other prescribed lifting point, ensure lift pads do not contact catalytic converter or brake or fuel lines. Since center of gravity is farther forward on front wheel drive vehicles, support vehicle to prevent it from tipping forward when removing major components.
