Pressure Limit Valve

  1. Disconnect pressure limit valve connector. Check resistance of isolation valve solenoid winding between terminals No. 2 and 4 of pressure limit valve. See Figure . Resistance should be 3-6 ohms.
  2. Check resistance of dump valve solenoid winding between pressure limit valve terminals No. 1 and 4. Resistance should be 1-3 ohms.
  3. Check resistance of reset switch across terminals No. 3 and 4 of pressure limit valve. Resistance reading should be infinite. If any resistance value is not within specification, replace pressure limit valve as an assembly.
