Rotor Test

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between rotor and slip rings (STEP 1 in illustration). See Fig 1 . If continuity exists, replace rotor.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between slip rings (STEP 2 in illustration). See Fig 1 . If continuity does not exist or resistance is not 3.1-3.5 ohms, replace rotor.
