Pressure Limit Valve

  1. Disconnect pressure limit valve connector. Check resistance of isolation valve solenoid winding between ISO and GND terminals. See Fig 1 . If resistance is not 3-6 ohms at approximately 68°F (20°C), replace pressure limit valve.
  2. Check resistance of dump valve solenoid winding between pressure limit valve DUMP and GND terminals. If resistance is not1-3 ohms at approximately 68°F (20°C), replace pressure limit valve.
  3. Check resistance of reset switch across RESET terminal and pressure limit valve body. Resistance reading should be infinite. If any resistance value is not within specification, replace pressure limit valve as an assembly.
