RWAL Power Relay

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove radio speaker (if equipped) from lower left side of dash. Remove engine ECM with cover, bracket and fuse box from steering column holder.
  2. Disconnect Yellow connector from RWAL power relay. Remove relay. Check continuity across relay terminals "B" and "D". See Fig 1 . Resistance should be 90-110 ohms.
  3. Check resistance across relay terminals "A" and "B". Reading should be infinite. Apply battery voltage and ground across terminals "C" and "D". Measure resistance between terminals "A" and "B". Reading should be 3.0 ohms. If RWAL power relay does not test as indicated, replace RWAL power relay.
