Using Scan Tool

  1. Insert a .14" (3.5 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle lever. See Fig 1. If Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor plunger is contacting throttle lever screw, bring engine to normal operating temperature.
  2. Turn engine off. Connect scan tool to DLC and turn ignition ON and engine OFF. Using scan tool, read TP sensor voltage. Rotate TP sensor until voltage is .98-1.02 volts. Tighten TP sensor retaining screws to 18 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). Install air cleaner.
