Using DVOM
- Insert a .14" (3.5 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle lever. See Figure. If Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor plunger is contacting throttle lever screw, bring engine to normal operating temperature.
- Turn ignition OFF. Using a DVOM, backprobe between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) 16-pin connector terminal No. 6 (Light Green/White wire) and ground. Turn ignition ON and engine OFF. Using DVOM, read TP sensor voltage. If voltage is .98-1.02 volts, TP sensor is adjusted properly. If voltage is not .98-1.02 volts, adjust or replace TP sensor. See ADJUSTMENT.
