Using Scan Tool

  1. Insert a .14" (3.5 mm) feeler gauge between throttle stop screw and throttle lever. See Figure. If Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor plunger is contacting throttle lever screw, bring engine to normal operating temperature.
  2. Turn engine OFF. Connect scan tool to DLC and turn ignition ON and engine OFF. Using scan tool, read TP sensor voltage. If voltage is not .98-1.02 volts, adjust or replace TP sensor. See ADJUSTMENT. If voltage is .98-1.02 volts, TP sensor is adjusted properly.
