PCV System: Operation: Prelude
During idle and low speed operation blow-by gases are returned to the intake manifold through the breather chamber and the PCV valve. When operating at wide open throttle the PCV valve opens to allow more flow to the manifold and the excess blow-by is returned to the air cleaner through the breather hose.
