Slow Air-Jet Control System

To maintain optimum air/fuel ratio, the slow air-jet system controls airflow into primary jets of carburetor throats through the use of an ECU controlled air leak solenoid. When vehicle is being started or is running in the power mode, ECU energizes air leak solenoid in the air cleaner to close the air passage, resulting in richer air/fuel mixtures. For additional information on this system, see HONDA SLOW AIR JET CONTROL SYSTEM article.
