Thermostatic Air Control System: Description
The thermostatic air control system maintains uniform intake air temperature entering intake manifold. Regardless of outside air temperature, the incoming air temperature is maintained at about 100°F (38°C) on Accord models, and about 77°F (25°C) on Prelude models.
The air intake control system consists of the air cleaner, outside air intake hose, hot air delivery hose, air control diaphragm, temperature controlled air bleed valve, intake air control valve door and a fixed orifice vacuum check valve.
