Wheel Sensor

The wheel sensor detects wheel rotation speed. Wheel sensor consists of a permanent magnet, coil and pulser (trigger wheel). As 50-tooth pulser (trigger wheel) rotates, the magnetic flux around the coil in each wheel sensor alternates, generating an AC voltage signal. AC signal frequency is proportional to wheel rotation speed. These pulses are sent to the ABS control unit to determine wheel speed.
