Disposal Procedures: Notes

NOTE: If vehicle is to be scrapped, perform on-vehicle deployment. See ON-VEHICLE DEPLOYMENT . If vehicle will remain in service, perform off-vehicle deployment. See OFF-VEHICLE DEPLOYMENT .

To prevent accidental deployment and personal injury, deploy air bags before disposal. DO NOT dispose of undeployed air bag modules at normal refuse locations. Undeployed air bag modules contain substances that can cause severe illness or personal injury if sealed container is damaged during disposal.
