Testing Temperature Gauge

Disconnect harness connector from temperature gauge sender. Ground harness side of connector using a 12 volt, 3.4 watt light bulb. Turn ignition on. Ensure bulb flashes and indicator moves. If test light does not illuminate, check power circuit to sender. If test light illuminates and temperature gauge does not move, check feed and ground circuit to gauge.
