Power Window Sub-Switch: Tiburon

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove sub-switch. Check for continuity between sub-switch terminals No. 4, 5 and 6, and between terminals No. 4 and 7. See Fig 1. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist between terminals 4, 5 and 6, replace sub-switch. If continuity does not exist between terminals No. 4 and 7, check switch illumination bulb.
  2. Check for continuity between sub-switch terminal No. 2 and 4 with sub-switch in up position. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace sub-switch.
  3. Check for continuity between sub-switch terminal No. 2 and 4 with sub-switch in down position. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace sub-switch.
  4. Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage to switch terminal No. 6, and ground terminal No. 4. Check for continuity between sub-switch terminals No. 2 and 3, and between terminals No. 1 and 4. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace sub-switch.
  5. Using fused jumper wires, connect battery voltage to sub-switch terminal No. 5, and ground terminal No. 4. Check for continuity between sub-switch terminals No. 1 and 2, and between terminals No. 3 and 4. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace sub-switch.
