CAUTION: Before proceeding, see ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SAFETY PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
CAUTION: When battery or ECM is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until adaptation systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES - IMPORT article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE: To properly diagnose vehicle, it is recommended to use HI-SCAN (PRO) scan tool. Before replacing any component that scan tool suggests is faulty, ensure that all wiring connections and harness connectors are okay. Ensure that power and ground circuits are functioning properly. For circuit identification, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  .

(1) During ABS operation, the brake pedal may vibrate or may not be able to be depressed. This condition is due to intermittent changes in hydraulic pressure inside brake line to prevent wheels from locking and is not an abnormality.
