Park/Neutral Position Switch

NOTE: When installing and adjusting transaxle range switch, ensure switch "O" ring is not dislodged.
  1. Apply parking brake and place gear selector in Neutral.
  2. Loosen the manual control lever lock nut to separate the cable and lever. See Fig 1 .
  3. Place the manual control level in "N" position and loosen the transaxle range switch attaching bolts.
  4. Rotate the transaxle range switch body until the 0.047" (12 mm) wide arm of the manual control lever aligns with the flange on the switch body. See Fig 2 .
  5. When aligned the attaching bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Ensure switch does not move when tightening.
  6. Adjust the flange nut so that there is no slack in the control cable. See Fig 3 . Ensure control lever operates smoothly.
  7. Run vehicle and confirm that the transaxle is set in each range when the selector lever is shifted to each position.
