Park/Neutral Position Switch
NOTE:
When installing and adjusting transaxle range switch, ensure switch "O" ring is not dislodged.
- Apply parking brake and place gear selector in Neutral.
- Loosen the manual control lever lock nut to separate the cable and lever. See Fig 1 .
- Place the manual control level in "N" position and loosen the transaxle range switch attaching bolts.
- Rotate the transaxle range switch body until the 0.047" (12 mm) wide arm of the manual control lever aligns with the flange on the switch body. See Fig 2 .
- When aligned the attaching bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure switch does not move when tightening.
- Adjust the flange nut so that there is no slack in the control cable. See Fig 3 . Ensure control lever operates smoothly.
- Run vehicle and confirm that the transaxle is set in each range when the selector lever is shifted to each position.
