Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the air cleaner.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")

  3. Remove the PCSV.

    (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "PURGE CONTROL SOLENOID VALVE (PCSV) ")

  4. Remove the high pressure fuel pipe.

    (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - "HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PUMP ")

  5. Disconnect the variable charge motion actuator connector (A).

  6. Remove the variable charge motion actuator mounting bolts (A).
  7. Remove variable charge motion actuator rod mounting nut (B).
