Fuel Warning Indicator Sensor

CAUTION: The ECM might store the 1st trip DTC P0180 and the 1st trip DTC P0464 during this inspection. If the DTC is stored in ECM memory, erase the DTC after reconnecting fuel level sensor unit and fuel pump harness connector. See SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.

NOTE: Repair information on fuel warning indicator light is not available from manufacturer.

Disconnect fuel gauge sending unit harness connector. Connect an 80 ohm resistor between fuel gauge sending unit terminals No. 2 (Green wire) and 5 (Black wire). See Figure . Turn ignition on. Fuel warning indicator light should illuminate.
