Air Regulator

  1. Warm engine to operating temperature. Disconnect throttle valve body-to-air regulator at the throttle body. Plug the hole in throttle body.
  2. Start the engine. Check for variation in engine speed by closing and opening the end of the air regulator hose. The engine speed should vary less than 50 RPM. If variation is more than specified, replace the air regulator.
  3. To check air regulator resistance, unplug harness at connector. The standard resistance is 38-42 ohms.
