Fuel Evaporation System: Description

System is designed to route fuel vapors into carbon canister where they are stored until intake vacuum draws vapors into combustion chambers for burning.

Components for turbo and non-turbo models include a sealed filler cap, vapor separator tank (Impulse), check and relief valve (Pickup and Trooper II), charcoal canister and purge control valve, solenoid operated vent switching valve (carbureted engines), relief valve (Pickup and Trooper II), rollover and float valve (Pickup and Trooper II), 2-way valve (Impulse), evaporator valve (Impulse), thermal vacuum valve (I-Mark), tank pressure control valve (I-Mark), and connecting lines and hoses.

The rollover and float valve and relief valves are used to prevent fuel leakage and excessive pressure inside fuel tank in the event of a vehicle rollover. These valves are not relevant to fuel evaporation system.
