Temperature Sending Unit Check
- Remove sending unit. Sending unit is located on front corner of engine, below distributor assembly. Measure sending unit resistance in heated water.
- Connect one ohmmeter lead to sending unit terminal and other lead to sending unit body (ground). Resistance should decrease as water temperature increases. See COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE . If resistance does not vary as specified, replace sending unit.
