Testing Fuel Gauge
NOTE:
Before testing, ensure all fuses and grounds are good. Unless gauge is known to be defective, check sending unit and wiring circuit first.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER R & I . Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals IGN and UNIT. See Fig 1 .
- Resistance should be approximately 103 ohms. Measure resistance between terminals UNIT and GND. See Fig 1 . Resistance should be approximately 65 ohms. If resistance readings are not as specified, replace fuel gauge.
