Restart Relay

  1. Restart relay is located in fuse/relay box, on left side of engine compartment, in front of strut tower. Disconnect restart relay connector. Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between restart relay terminals No. 1 and No. 2 and does not exist between terminals No. 3 and No. 4. See Fig 1 .

  2. Connect battery power across terminals No. 5 and No. 6. Continuity should exist between restart relay terminals No. 3 and No. 4, and should not exist between terminals No. 1 and No. 2. Replace restart relay if tests are not as specified.
