Restart Relay

  1. Restart relay is located in fuse/relay block, on left side of engine compartment, in front of strut tower. Disconnect restart relay connector. Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between restart relay terminals No. 1 and 2 and continuity does not exist between terminals No. 3 and 4. See Fig 1 .
  2. Connect battery power across terminals No. 5 and 6. Continuity should exist between restart relay terminals No. 3 and 4, and continuity should not exist between terminals No. 1 and 2. See Figure . Replace restart relay if tests are not as specified.
