If commutator out-of-round is more than .002" (.05 mm), correct by turning commutator on a lathe. On 2.6L, wear or cutting limit of commutator is 1.34" (34 mm).
For 3.2L, wear or cutting limit of commutator is 1.14" (29 mm). On all models, standard undercut depth for insulating mica is .028-.035" (.71-.89 mm). Minimum undercut depth is .008" (.20 mm).
