Master Power Window Switch Input Test

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect master power window switch. Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity is present between 16-pin connector, terminal A5 (Black (2) wire) and 3-pin connector, terminal B2 (Black (1) wire).
  2. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, ensure battery voltage is present between ground and terminals A1 (Blue/Black wire), A2 (White/Yellow wire), A6 (White/Black wire) and A7 (Green/White wire).
  3. Using fused jumper wires, connect terminal A7 (Green/White wire) to terminal A16 (Red/Yellow (1) wire) and terminal A5 (Black (2) wire) to terminal A14 (Red/Blue (1) wire). Using a voltmeter, check for voltage between terminal A8 (Red wire) and driver-side window motor ground (Black wire). Voltage reading should be 6 volts as window motor runs.
  4. Using fused jumper wires, connect terminal A2 (White/Yellow wire) to terminal A9 (Yellow/Green wire), and terminal A11 (Yellow wire) to terminal B2 (Black (1) wire). Right rear window motor should run.
  5. Using fused jumper wires, connect terminal A1 (Blue/Black wire) to terminal A10 (Blue wire), and terminal A12 (Blue/Yellow wire) to terminal B2 (Black (1) wire). Right front window motor should run.
  6. Using fused jumper wires, connect terminal A6 (White/Black wire) to terminal A13 (Green wire), and terminal A15 (Green/Blue wire) to terminal B2 (Black (1) wire). Left rear window motor should run.
  7. Using fused jumper wires, connect terminal A7 (Green/White wire) to terminal A14 (Red/Blue (1) wire), and terminal A16 (Red/Yellow (1) wire) to terminal A5 (Black (2) wire). Left front window motor should run.
