Field Windings Test

  1. Check continuity between brushes of field winding in armature housing. Ensure continuity exists. If continuity does not exist, replace field winding/armature housing assembly. See Fig 1 .
  2. Check continuity between each brush and armature housing (ground). Continuity should not exist. If continuity exists, replace field winding/armature housing assembly.
