Wheel Speed Sensor

Wheel speed sensors are of a variable reluctance type. Each sensor is mounted in close proximity to a toothed ring. As teeth pass by sensor head, an AC voltage is produced. Sensor signal frequency increases as ring rotation speed increases. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  .
