Idle Speed
- Idle speed is controlled by Idle Air Control (IAC) valve and is not adjustable. Throttle stop screw is preset at factory and sealed in position. See IDLE SPEED SPECIFICATIONS
. When installing a new Idle Air Control (IAC) valve, turn ignition off and replace original with identical part.
- Replacement IAC valve calibration is input into PCM by cycling ignition on and off. Start engine and compare idle speed with specification. See IDLE SPEED SPECIFICATIONS
. If idle speed is not as specified. Repeat calibration input procedure and recheck idle speed.
