Traction Control: Anti-Lock: Description

All models are equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System/Traction Control (ABS/TC) system. This system is standard equipment on vehicles equipped with 3.0L engine. Vehicles equipped with 4.0L engine are equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System/Traction Control (ABS/TC) system with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). This system is also available on vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine as an option.

ABS/TC system consists of ABS/traction control unit, instrument cluster, traction control switch and wheel speed sensors. See Fig 1. ABS/TC with DSC consists of brake pedal switch, instrument cluster, interactive vehicle dynamics module, lateral accelerometer sensor, master cylinder pressure sensors, Powertrain Control Module (PCM), steering wheel rotation sensor, wheel speed sensors and yaw rate sensor.
