Symptom 501000 Automatic Transmission Concerns

ISSUE

Vehicle lines affected: S-TYPE (X202), XJ (X350), or XK (X100) vehicles with ZF transmission

When using SDD to re-configure the TCM as 'Existing Module', the procedure may fail with the following message: "VERONA: SOCKET TX ERROR" and this will leave the TCM in a non-functional state.

If this message appears do not turn the ignition off. Ignore the 'Switch Ignition Off' on screen instruction, leave the ignition on and configure the TCM as a 'New Module'. If the ignition has been switched off, close the current session, start a new session and configure the TCM as a 'New Module'
