Secondary Resistance

  1. With ignition off, remove coil secondary wire. Set ohmmeter to high scale. Attach ohmmeter leads to coil secondary and either primary terminal.
  2. Ohmmeter reading should be 7700-9300 ohms with coil temperature at 75°F (24°C). Maximum resistance at 200°F (93°C), should be approximately 12,000 ohms.
