Test VER-3A - Verification Procedure

  1. Reconnect all previously disconnected connectors. Turn ignition on, engine off. Using scan tool, erase all fault messages. To ensure memory seat module has learned sensor limits, select LEARN SEAT LIMITS and follow scan tool instructions. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Close all doors. Allow Body Control Module (BCM) to time out for about 30 seconds. Turn ignition on. Move power seat to full forward and up position limits. Press memory seat SET button, and then number 1 button. Move power seat to full down and back position limits. Go to next step.
  3. Press memory seat SET button, and then number 2 button. If power seat does not move to all switch positions, repair as required. If power seat moves to all switch positions, go to next step.
  4. Select number 1 memory seat switch. Allow seat to stop moving. Select number 2 memory seat switch. If memory seat does not operate properly, perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A  . If memory seats operate properly, go to next step.
  5. Turn ignition off. Close all doors. Allow BCM to time out for about 30 seconds. Using scan tool, read memory seat and door module fault messages. If fault messages exist, perform MEMORY SEAT TEST 1A  . If fault messages do not exist, test is complete.
