Air Bag Control Module Verification Test

  1. Remove any special tools or jumper wires. Ensure all disconnected components and connectors are reconnected except battery.
  2. Turn ignition on and reconnect battery.
  3. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) located under left side of instrument panel.
  4. Use scan tool to erase existing DTCs.
  5. Turn ignition off and wait 15 seconds. Turn ignition on.
  6. Wait one minute and read current DTCs. If no current DTCs are set, check for history DTCs.
  7. If any current of history DTCs are set, go to appropriate diagnosis and repair procedure. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . If no current or history DTCs are set, repair is complete.
